The Government of The Gambia donated a prime land of 4.2 hectares at Kotu South for the permanent facilities of the Institute. Work on the 1st phase of the project began December 1997, and on Friday 12th March 1999, students and staff moved into the premises to begin a new phase in the history of the institution. Plans are afoot to begin the 2nd phase of the project shortly; this comprises the Administrative Block the biggest structure of the complex. Other buildings to follow are:

The Auditorium, Cafeteria and Utility Building, A Sport Hall, 2 More students’ Dormitories, A Block of Staff Flats, a Block of flats for Guests, Tennis Court, Basket Ball Court and a Parking Lot


Basically, the Institute has five Training Programmes you might be interested. Choice can be made from the following:

i) Insurance Foundation Course
ii) Diploma Programme
iii) Short Courses
iv) Advance Certificate of Insurance Programme
v) In-house Training Programme


Also The Institute has a Research Department that is capable of undertaking any project in Insurance and related fields. We are currently in agreement with the National Insurance Academy of India on project works.
